Job summary

Fitchburg Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Dietary Aide. Pay range is $16.50-$17.34 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on/retention bonus for full-time and $500 for part-time roles. The position involves food preparation, serving residents and maintaining hygiene in the dining areas.

The Dietary Aide supports meal service, adheres to HIPAA, and works in a team environment to ensure resident safety and satisfaction. Prior culinary experience is preferred; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a culinary environment and large-volume food preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe and sanitary handling of food, dishes and equipment.
• Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order.
• Assist in stocking food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned.
• Deliver food, nourishments and supplies as assigned.
• Contributes to a respectful, team-oriented environment.
• Participates in quality improvement activities (QAPI) as requested.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA protections.

Part Time Dietary Aide$500.00 Sign on & Retention Bonus

The Dietary Aide is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the preparation and serving of food, cleaning food service areas, equipment and utensils.

• Safe and sanitary handling of food, dishes and equipment
• Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order
• Assist in stocking food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
• Deliver food, nourishments and supplies as assigned
• Contributes to an environment that is respectful, team-oriented and responsive to the concerns of co-workers, residents and families
• Participates in quality improvement activities (QAPI) as requested
• Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive Protected Health Information (HIPAA) at all times
• Demonstrates organizational and critical thinking skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions as necessary
• Ability to create a resident-centered environment
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
