Job summary

Village Green Health and Rehabilitation is currently seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team of dedicated health care professionals. This role focuses on meal preparation for lunch and dinner, reviewing menus prior to preparation, and ensuring correct diets are served to residents in collaboration with health care staff.

You will prepare food for all diets according to standardized recipes and diet orders, assist in the food service line, process diet changes and new diets, and maintain safe

Qualifications

• Prepare meals for lunch and dinner following menus and diet orders.
• Inspect special diet trays to ensure correct diet for residents.
• Coordinate with health care staff to support resident nutrition.
• Follow standardized recipes and adapt to diet changes and new diets.
• Maintain safe food handling and a clean kitchen and dining area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for all diets as prescribed.
• Assist in production of the food service line.
• Review menus prior to meal preparation and ensure correct diet orders.
• Process diet changes and new diets as required.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.

This position is responsible for preparing meals for lunch, and dinner. Review menus prior to preparation of food, inspect special diet trays to assure correct diet is served to resident, working with health care staff to ensure appropriate nutrition for each resident. Prepare food for all diets accordance with standardized recipes and special diet order, assist in production of food service line, process diet changes and new diets, prepare and serve meals, prepare food for all diets

Other duties include practicing safe food handling, keeping a clean kitchen and dining room
