Job summary

Corvallis Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our outstanding team in Corvallis, Oregon. You will assist with food preparation, serving, and maintaining a sanitary kitchen and dining area, while ensuring correct portions and temperatures for residents.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's permit/ServSafe certification as per state requirements.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and work cooperatively with staff.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure accurate serving portions and food items are on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Ensure appropriate serving utensils are used; maintain proper temperatures and log them.
• During the tray line, garnish trays, arrange neatly, and ensure silverware, cups, and dishes are clean and dry.
• After tray-line, check and record excess/shortage and discuss with supervisor.

Pay

$20.97-$26.93/HR (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure that accurate serving portions and food items are on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Ensure that appropriate serving utensils are used; ensure that temperatures are within standards (all temperatures are logged and reviewed prior to tray-line).
• During the tray line, ensure that the trays are garnished, neatly arranged, silverware, cups, and dishes are clean and plate covers are dry.
• After tray-line, check and record excess/shortage preparation, discuss with the supervisor.
