General Purpose
The dietary aide's assignments are determined based on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and effectively communicate with managers and employees.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Requires standing, walking frequently; sitting occasionally; reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Good vision is required for various visual tasks.
The environment is typically low to moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
