Responsibilities

Job Summary: Ensures that quality food services are provided to patients, employees, visitors, Medical Staff, and other allied health professionals in accordance with all regulatory agencies' standards, rules, and regulations, as well as hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Maintains a safe and sanitary environment. Prepares patient snacks, sets patient trays, serves staff meals, and assists in the preparation and service of beverages, vegetables, salads, and desserts as assigned.

Job Specifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Education: High School Diploma preferred
• Experience: Training and experience in quantity food preparation in a hospital setting
• Working Conditions: Works in kitchen, serving line, dining room, food storage areas, and other areas of the hospital. Hazards include falls, cuts, burns, and risks associated with electrical equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Physical Requirements: Push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and walking.
