The Parc at Sharon Amity in Charlotte, NC is seeking a caring Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in delivering nutritious meals to residents.

You will help with meal prep, serving, sanitation, and ensuring food safety, while supporting residents' dining experience. This role emphasizes teamwork, compassion for the elderly, and reliable communication within the kitchen and dining areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: maintain kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident support: assist with meal setup and serving to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Food safety: follow safety protocols for storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory support: assist in receiving, storing, and reporting shortages.
• Team collaboration: work with the dietary team to run operations smoothly.
• Resident engagement: fulfill special dietary requests and preferences during meals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:
