Job summary

Haywood Springs is seeking an enthusiastic Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to residents at Haywood Springs.

Essential duties include meal assistance, sanitation, resident support, food safety, inventory support, and teamwork to ensure a positive dining experience for residents. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with a compassionate approach to elder care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans and requests.

• Food safety: follow food safety protocols and proper storage/handling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
