Job summary

Haven of Bridgeport is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our part-time dining team. You will help serve nutritious, visually appealing meals to residents and support meal service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following portion control, assisting with meal setup and cleanup, and delivering snacks as needed. Weekend availability and the ability to lift 25 lbs are required. We value customer service and a respectful, inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are nutritious, Palatable and visually appealing
• Assist with meal service in a timely and organized manner
• Follow portion control procedures and dietary guidelines
• Perform daily cleaning duties in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas to enhance the mealtime experience
• Prepare and deliver snacks and supplemental dietary items as needed

Dietary Aide Requirements

• Availability to work weekends and some holidays

• Ability to push, pull, move, and lift at least 25 lbs., and carry items a minimum of 50 feet

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
