Job summary

Extended Care is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to enhance the dining experience for residents at our Chicago-area facility. You will help serve nutritious, flavorful meals, assist with meal service, and ensure portions are controlled in a clean, welcoming dining environment.

The role requires weekend availability, ability to lift 25 lbs, and strong customer service skills to support residents with compassion and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to push, pull, move and lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work fast with accuracy.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are nutritious, palatable, and visually appealing.
• Assist in meal service in a timely and organized manner.
• Ensure food is served according to portion control procedures.
• Perform daily cleaning duties following facility policies and procedures.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room to enhance the mealtime experience.
• Prepare and deliver snacks and additional dietary items as needed.

Dietary Aide Requirements:

• Availability to work weekends and some holidays

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work at a fast pace with attention to detail
