Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals according to ordered diets and preferences.
• Serves meals considering individual resident food requirements.
• Sets up and loads food delivery carts.
• Clears tables and transports service ware for cleaning.
• Operates and cleans kitchen equipment.

Skills

Ability to read and understand the Diet Roster

Ability to perform dietary functions in a health care setting

Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Knowledge of infection control procedures

Education

High School or GED

First Aid and CPR certification

Era Living is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our Culinary Services team at The Gardens at Town Square in Bellevue, WA. Available shifts are Sunday–Tuesday, 07:00 am–03:30 pm.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepares meals in accordance with ordered diets, preferences, and special needs with attention to food production requirements
• Serves meals in accordance with the established menu and consideration for the individual resident food requirements using established standards for handling hot/cold menu items
• Sets up and loads the food delivery carts for all meals
• Clears tables and collects the service ware and transports to the dish machine
• Operates and deep cleans equipment in the main kitchen and Assisted Living / Terrace kitchenettes and/or dining rooms

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and understand the Diet Roster for Assisted Living/Terrace residents in the Assisted Living and Terrace dining areas
• Ability to perform dietary functions in a health care setting
• Ability to perform duties in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control and sanitation procedures, and state & federal regulatory requirements
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to pass DSHS background check, required

Education and Experience

• High School or GED, required
• First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire, required
• Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire, required
• Must meet L I minimum age requirement of 18 years old to operate kitchen equipment
• Previous experience as a dietary aide in a healthcare setting, preferred
