We are seeking a friendly Dietary Aide responsible for tasks related to meal preparation, service, and cleanup in the nursing center. Maintain an attractive and sanitary dining environment, and ensure efficient meal service and delivery.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist with food ordering, storage, and preparation as directed by the supervisor.
• Support cooks as needed.
• Prepare and label nourishment according to center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entree foods; pour beverages.
• Follow production and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines.
• Perform pre-preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits; slice meats; measure ingredients for menu compliance and nutrition.
• Maintain cleanliness by following the cleaning schedule; clean equipment and work areas; sweep and mop kitchen floors; dispose of trash; wash pots and pans.
• Ensure timely meal service.
• Wash dishes and silverware; put away clean items; assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and areas.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: One year of experience in large-scale cooking operations.
