We are looking for a friendly Dietary Aide responsible for tasks in meal preparation, service, and cleanup in the nursing center. Maintains an attractive and sanitary dining environment, ensures timely meal service, and proper food handling.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assists with food ordering, storage, and preparation as designated by the supervisor.
• Assists cooks as directed.
• Prepares and labels nourishment according to procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads, and other non-entree foods; pours beverages.
• Follows production and pre-preparation guidelines.
• Completes pre-preparation tasks including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits; slices meat; measures for nutrition accuracy.
• Maintains cleanliness by cleaning equipment and work areas, sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
• Ensures meal schedules are met.
• Washes dishes and silverware; assists with cleaning kitchen equipment and areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: One year of experience in a large-scale cooking operation.
