Job summary

Brethren Care Village is seeking a Dietary Aide for either full-time or part-time shifts, with day or evening options and no late hours. Pay ranges from $12.50 to $14.30 per hour based on experience, and this is a direct employee role.

The Dietary Aide will assist in dining room service, kitchen prep, cleaning tasks, and tray delivery, with onsite presence required. Experience is preferred but not required, and the team emphasizes compassionate, mission-driven care at our Christian-based senior

• Prior food service experience preferred but not required
• Onsite presence required

Responsibilities

• Dining room service, including serving residents, carrying trays, and delivering/picking up trays from nursing carts
• Cleaning tasks on a schedule (trash disposal, dishwashing, sweeping and mopping floors)
• Kitchen tasks (prep work, proper food storage labeling and dating, operating kitchen equipment, handling chemicals)
• Other duties as assigned

The Dietary Aide's primary responsibilities may include:

• Dining room service, including serving residents, carrying residents' trays and delivering/picking up trays from nursing carts.
• Performing tasks on a cleaning schedule, including trash disposal, dishwashing, and sweeping & mopping floors.
• Performing a variety of tasks in the kitchen, including prep work, ensuring proper food storage by labelling & dating food items, operating kitchen equipment, handling chemicals and cleaning equipment, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

What do I need as a Dietary Aide?

• At least 16 years of age (work permit required for employees under the age of 18)
• Customer Service skills preferred
• Prior food service experience preferred but not required.
• Onsite presence required.
