Job summary

Regency Albany is seeking caring dietary aides to join our skilled nursing community in the Willamette Valley. You will prepare meals for residents, plate food, wash dishes and help with service while maintaining infection control standards.

You will also communicate respectfully with residents, families and team members to support a home-like environment. Qualifications include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, English fluency, and a Food Handler's card (or ability to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Provide compassionate, resident-centered service.
• Relate and communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Hold or be able to obtain a Food Handler's card.

Responsibilities

We are Regency Albany, a skilled nursing community located in the heart of the Willamette Valley. We are looking for caring & compassionate resident-minded individuals to join our team.

Includes Dishwashing Duties

As a dietary aide, you will prepare food for residents and fill requests. You will also plate food, wash and sanitize dishes.

You Will:

• Ensure that condiment and beverage containers are clean and filled
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Maintain infection control standards
• Plate food
• Wash and sanitize dishes
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees

You Currently:

• Can obtain Food Handler’s card
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
