Job summary

Regency Care of Central Oregon, located in Bend, OR, is seeking a caring dietary aide to prepare meals for residents and fulfill requests while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

You will plate food, wash dishes, and ensure infection control standards are followed while communicating warmly with residents, families and staff to support a homelike atmosphere for seniors.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's card is preferred or required.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Care and interest in working with the senior population.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and home-like environment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Support residents’ dignity, privacy, independence and choice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for residents and plate meals.
• Fill resident requests and maintain food service.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and ensure sanitation standards.
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and staff.
• Keep infection control standards and safe food handling practices.

We are Regency Care of Central Oregon, a skilled nursing community centrally located in beautiful Bend, OR. We are looking for caring & compassionate individuals to join our team.

As a dietary aide, you will prepare food for residents and fill requests. You will also plate food, wash and sanitize dishes.

You Will:

• Ensure that condiment and beverage containers are clean and filled
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Maintain infection control standards
• Plate food
• Wash and sanitize dishes
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees

You Currently:

• Can obtain Food Handler's card
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
