Job Summary:

Join our team at Sandwich Living and Rehab LLC, where caring is our tradition. As a Dietary Aid, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food service to our residents. This part‑time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and care for others.

Responsibilities:

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders.

• Prepare and serve residents' bedtime snacks and substitute foods for those who refuse served meals.

• Ensure the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner, adhering to sanitary regulations and following infection control precautions.

• Prepare meal tickets and run the tray line.

• Prepare desserts and snacks as instructed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must possess a valid Food Handlers Certificate.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with the ability to handle residents with varying maturity levels.

• Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing food practices.

• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

• Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable these senses to function adequately.

• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
