Job summary

Sterling Healthcare Management, LLC is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our food service team. You will help prepare and serve meals, keep the dining room clean, and interact with residents.

No experience required — training is provided. If you are reliable and have a great attitude, this is a role where you can make a real difference at mealtime.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with a strong team mindset.
• Compassionate and patient when interacting with elderly residents.
• Food Handler Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred — will consider all applicants.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions including diet orders.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down the dining room before and after each meal service
• Deliver meal trays to residents according to dietary orders and tray tickets
• Verify each tray is correct before delivery — right resident, right diet, every time
• Assist residents with meal selection and accommodate food preferences
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitize food prep surfaces, countertops, and the dining room after each meal
• Label, date, and store food items properly using FIFO rotation
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures per food safety guidelines
• Restock dining room and kitchen supplies as needed
• Report resident food refusals or low intake to the nurse or Dietary Manager promptly
