Job summary

Morristown Post Acute Rehabilitation & Nursing in Morristown, NJ seeks a dedicated Dietary Aid - Food Service Assistant to support our resident dining program. You will assist with meal prep, service, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment, working closely with the dietary team to meet residents’ dietary needs.

No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. A high school diploma or equivalent and Food Handling Certification (or willingness to obtain) are requested.

As a valued member of our food service team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Job Summary

As a Dietary Aid - Food Service Assistant, you will assist in the preparation and service of meals, maintaining a clean and safe food service environment, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our dietary team to prepare and present meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents, while also maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, including food storage, handling, and presentation
• Set up and maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining areas
• Assist with meal delivery and service, including transporting trays to resident rooms and dining areas
• Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, inventory, and inventory control
• Participate in menu planning and food preparation for special events and functions
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling resident and staff information
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure seamless food service operations
• Maintain a safe and respectful work environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols

Requirements
