Job summary

Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago seeks a Diet Technician in the Dietary Department. Full-time position with rotating shifts. Responsible for supervising and providing operational support for safe and proper administration of diet to all patients.

Responsibilities

• Checks patient trays, observing food quality, temperature, portion size, and adherence to menu.
• Supervise all food service areas including cash count/balance, register closing and general sanitation.
• Prepares production sheets for cooks and cold production.
• Writes out charges for enteral supplements and submits these to Pharmacy.
• Provides staff education for Foodservice personnel.
• Maintains department records, reports, and files as requested.
• Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital's confidentiality norms and standards.
• Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including general sanitation, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
