Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing at Pawling is seeking a Diet Technician to support personalized meal planning and nutrition-focused care for residents in Pawling, NY. You will collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor to create menus that meet physician directives and dietary needs.

Responsibilities include menu design, policy support, staffing considerations, and ensuring quality food preparation aligns with dietary plans. Qualified NDTR and ACEND-accredited program are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of ACEND-accredited Nutrition and Dietetics Technician program.
• An Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• 450 hours of supervised practice in healthcare, foodservice, or community nutrition programs.
• Pass the CDR national examination to become an NDTR (Nutrition and Dietetics Technician).
• Strong knowledge of dietary and nutrition principles, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Required:

  • Successful completion of 450 hours of supervised practice in healthcare, foodservice, or community nutrition programs.
  • Pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration's (CDR) national examination to become a Certified Nutrition and Dietetics Technician (NDTR).
• Strong knowledge of dietary and nutrition principles, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
