Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Diet Technician to assess and plan nutritional care for residents within a 513-bed skilled nursing facility in Syracuse, NY. You will ensure quality food service and nutrition, while complying with federal, state, and local standards.

The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strong communication, and meticulous record-keeping. Prior experience in long-term care or clinical settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required.
• Experience in long-term care or clinical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan nutritional care for residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Ensure quality food service and nutritional care is provided to all residents.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to meet the needs of residents.
• Manage conflict, advise, and coach staff and residents.

Job Summary

Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 513-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Syracuse, New York, committed to providing quality care and diversified services with a focus on each resident as a whole person. As a Diet Technician, you will be responsible for the assessment and planning of nutritional care for our residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
