Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks a Diet Technician (FT, PT, PRN) to join the Nutrition Team at Hi Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, CA. The role supports dietitians and hospital patients with data collection, screening, and menu planning.

Requirements include a DTR credential and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition or related Science, with 1 year hospital experience preferred. Pay ranges from $25 to $39 per hour, with benefits for full-time and part-time positions.

• Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the CDR (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science required.
• One year of hospital experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, EMR & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning.
• Assists patients in completing menu selections.
• Follows all guidelines in the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures.
• Complies with regulatory standards including federal, state, and accrediting agencies; protects patient confidentiality.
• Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable.
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and QA/PI programs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Diet Technician (FT, PT, PRN) to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center in City, State.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning

• Assists patients in completing menu selections

• Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual

• Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies

• Trains and mentor’s patient services staff and interns as applicable

• Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs

Qualifications :

• Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science, required

• One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred

• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
