Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Diet Technician (FT/PT/PRN) to join our Nutrition Team at Hi Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, CA. The role supports dietitians with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and menu planning in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Nutrition Technician credential (CDR registered preferred) and a bachelor's degree in Nutrition.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the CDR (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science is required.
• One year of hospital experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMR and diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections.
• Follow the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
• Complies with regulatory standards and HIPAA, trains staff and interns as applicable.
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs and QA/PI initiatives.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Diet Technician (FT, PT, PRN) to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center in City, State.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning
• Assists patients in completing menu selections
• Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
• Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies
• Trains and mentor’s patient services staff and interns as applicable
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs

Qualifications:

• Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science, required
• One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
