EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Experience: Basic clerical and data entry experience; Customer Service or call center experience

JOB DUTIES

• Process diet orders and updates patient information in Computrition Hospitality Suite appropriately and quickly.
• Obtain patient menu selections for all meals and enter information into Computrition Hospitality Suite accurately and in a timely manner.
• Effectively manage customer complaints and refer to supervisor as appropriate. Verify that customer issues have been resolved.
• Process, print, and distribute daily documents in a timely manner, including meal tallies, patient menus, nourishment labels, and tray tickets.
• Manage telephone calls promptly and professionally, utilizing telephone etiquette techniques.
• Ensure that all patients are fed in a timely manner. Process late trays effectively and ensure tray line begins promptly and runs efficiently.
• Verify accuracy of all patient trays. Make telephone calls to nursing units, as needed, for clarification of diet orders or requests.
• Manage the special needs of patients, as indicated. Make telephone calls to patients to discuss menu options, food preferences, etc.
• Assist in troubleshooting of computer problems by calling Help Desk or alerting Manager.
• Comply with the departmental performance improvement plan by managing patient satisfaction surveys.
• Document number of meals served following each meal service and late trays served. File all daily documents, as needed.
• Ensure adequate supplies to maintain diet office running efficiently, by communicating ordering needs to Administrative Coordinator.
