Job summary

St. Joseph of the Pines in Southern Pines, NC is seeking full time and part time Diet Aides to join The Health Center, our skilled nursing facility.

The Diet Aides assist with meal preparation and delivery, work with the Certified Dietary Manager to plan meals, ensure dietary procedures follow policies, and maintain interdepartmental relations within the community. On-the-job training is provided; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be punctual, team-oriented and willing to learn.
• On the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation, set up, and delivery of all meals.
• Learn and be responsible for working with the Certified Dietary Manager in developing meal plans, working with the cooks on the line, as well as delivering the meals to residents.
• Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies. Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel as well as with other departments within the community
