Clean Harbors Springfield, MO is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. You will perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, battery checks, and assist drivers with repairs in a team-oriented setting at our facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience working on heavy duty trucks and equipment.
• 1+ year DOT inspection experience.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all safe work practices and policies.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Ensure Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
