Clean Harbors Robstown, TX is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join our safety-conscious team. This role focuses on repairs and preventative maintenance for the company fleet, ensuring equipment is safe and reliable for daily operations.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and assist drivers with vehicle issues while adhering to DOT and safety standards. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth at Clean Harbors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 1+ years experience with heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• DOT inspection experience (1+ years) required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Certifications preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests on hire.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all tasks and work practices.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on fleet.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Ensure equipment is parked/secured per DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
