This position involves supervising and performing maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles and select armored vehicles used by the Army in various mission-critical roles. Responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, replacing, adjusting, and testing wheeled vehicles, material handling equipment, and automotive electrical systems.

Job Duties:

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment systems.
• Inspect, service, repair, replace, adjust, and test vehicles and systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring, starting, and charging systems.
• Perform vehicle recovery operations.

Requirements:

• Age between 17–40.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass background and medical screening.
• Score passing on the ASVAB.

Training:

10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 14 weeks of Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA, including classroom and field instruction. Skills learned include automotive troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
