Job summary

Purcell Tire & Rubber Co is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel semi trucks & trailers. You will inspect braking, steering, wheel bearings, and related systems, using a mix of hand and power tools, lathes, welding equipment, and jacks to complete repairs.

The role emphasizes safety, asset protection, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace; prior experience with trucks and hydraulic systems is preferred, along with a Class B license (A beneficial).

Qualifications

• Experience working on semi trucks and trailers.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record (Class B+; Class A preferred).

Responsibilities

• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and related parts to ensure proper operation.
• Use hand and power tools, gauges, welding equipment, and jacks/hoists.
• Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and reassemble equipment.
• Maintain safety devices and cleanliness of maintenance shed.
• Perform routine truck maintenance and repairs as required.
• Repair and maintain company trailers.
