Job summary

Purcell Tire & Rubber Company in Missouri is seeking a skilled diesel service technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi trucks and trailers. You will work on braking, steering, and hydraulic systems, use hand and power tools, and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

We value experience with tire and automotive systems, a clean Class B CDL (Class A is a plus), and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience working on Semi Trucks & Trailers.
• Working Knowledge of Hydraulic Systems.
• Driver’s License Required: Must have clean driving record with at least a Class B; Class A would be beneficial but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition
• Use handtools and power tools to repair and adjust equipment
• Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment
• Repair and maintain company trailers
• Complete all truck repairs less than complete engine overhauls
• Embrace Purcell’s culture of safety and perform all jobs in a safe manner
• Maintain standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of maintenance shed
• Protect company assets
• Regular attendance in accordance with assigned schedule
• Ability to perform physical requirements as listed in job description
• Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management
