Job summary

Xpress Global Systems (XGS) in Tunnel Hill, GA is seeking a full-time Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and repair on commercial trucks. Duties include welding, fabrication, and ensuring DOT compliance.

The role requires documenting repairs clearly and maintaining a safe, compliant workshop environment. Qualified candidates will have verifiable diesel technician experience, DOT inspector certification, air brake certification, electrical experience, and welding/fabrication skills.

Qualifications

• Verifiable Experience as a Diesel Technician.
• DOT Inspector Certification.
• Air Brake Certification.
• Electrical Experience.
• Welding and Fabrication experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to work in all seasonal temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of commercial trucks, including welding and fabricating
• Ensuring equipment is DOT compliant
• Ensuring equipment is operational with minimal downtime
• Responsible for maintaining a culture of compliance and safety in the workplace by enforcing established policies and procedures
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment
• Ability to clearly document cause, complaint, and correction on each repair order
• Able diagnose and repair issues related to (but not limited to) trailers, some light mechanical on Trailers and Forklifts
• Able to weld and fabricate
• Must be able to complete repairs within SRT times
• Will work on other equipment as necessary
• Must be on time and present on days schedule to work
