Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician for our Truck Service team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers at our locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills expected.
• Previous experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays in interior and exterior conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide.
• Diagnose wear conditions and together with TSA or Manager, make recommendations to customers.
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.
