Job summary

Wisconsin Kenworth Madison is seeking skilled diesel truck mechanics for entry-level and experienced roles. The position involves repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of Class 8 trucks in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certificate preferred.
• Must be able to read repair orders and interpret fault descriptions accurately.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and ability to use shop equipment safely.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a valid CDL is preferred or required where applicable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with Windows-based computer systems and basic software.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks.
• Uses diagnostic equipment to isolate faults and tests repairs.
• Documents repair procedures clearly on work orders and communicates with the Shop Foreman.
• Communicates with parts to obtain necessary items for repairs.
• Repairs in a timely, safe, and professional manner; assists other technicians as needed.
