Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Service Technician to service customers, perform maintenance, and disassemble/assemble parts with the help of manuals. You will read orders, inspect vehicles, and plan work procedures while delivering strong customer service.

This role requires a high school diploma and 2 years as a Class 7 & 8 technician, plus a valid driver license and CDL/Medical card if possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Driver license with insurability; CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Examine guards, loose bolts, and safety devices and make adjustments.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and stay abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
