Job summary

Lindamood Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced Truck Shop Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our diesel truck and trailer fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose engines and electrical systems, and ensure safety and compliance to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of diesel truck experience, knowledge of DOT inspections, and proficiency with diagnostic software. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel truck mechanic experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, air brake systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Knowledge of DOT inspection requirements and preventative maintenance programs.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance: oil changes, lubrication, fluid checks, filters.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and driveline components.
• Diagnose electrical, air brake, charging, and lighting systems.
• Perform engine diagnostics using manufacturer software and diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect trucks and trailers for mechanical or safety concerns.
• Weld and fabricate components as needed.
• Maintain repair orders, maintenance records, and parts documentation.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
