Job summary

Dallas Trailer Repair Co. in Irving, TX is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and related equipment. You will use mechanical tools and diagnostic gear, follow industry standards, and document findings clearly.

This role requires 1–2 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, own tools, and the ability to read and write in English. ASE certifications are a plus, and a valid driver’s license may be needed for Mobile Technician duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; trade certification preferred.
• Own tools and safety gear; steel-toed shoes and welding protection.
• Must pass pre-employment knowledge or skill testing.
• English literacy for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose vehicle and equipment for mechanical issues.
• Perform repairs to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and related equipment.
• Operate a mobile repair vehicle if Mobile Technician is hired.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace and care for tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with coworkers and support team goals.
• Document cause/complaint/correction in software system.
• Follow safety rules and guidelines.
• Safely operate a Yard Switcher to move trailers.
