Kenworth Sales Co. in Ashland, VA seeks a Service Technician (2nd Shift) to perform high-quality repairs on customer equipment. Schedule: 3:30pm–Midnight. Willingness to obtain VA state inspector certification and CDL as needed is required. Compensation ranges from $25 to $46 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• VA State Inspector's certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Class A or B CDL or willingness to obtain one.
• DoD certifications: PACCAR/Cummins/CAT or willingness to obtain.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions.

Responsabilités

• Receive repair order assignments from Shop Foreman.
• Perform work to a high standard in a timely and thorough manner.
• Advise Shop Foreman of recommended changes in services.
• Determine additional repairs and communicate to Shop Foreman.
• Maintain training and experience with equipment and servicing techniques.
• Attend required training sessions.
• Perform additional repairs if prior workmanship caused issues.
• Maintain accurate work order records and time logs.
