Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to support our fleet in New Castle, IN. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy trucks to keep our equipment safe and reliable for daily routes.

Qualifications

Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle components is required.
In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems is preferred.
Experience repairing and performing maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
Replace components, fluids, and filters as needed to keep vehicles safe.
Inspect electrical, air and brake systems; ensure safety devices function properly.
Perform routine housekeeping and keep accurate maintenance records.
