Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in New Jersey to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, HVAC, and drive trains. You will diagnose multi-system issues and provide on-site or on-road service to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have experience with Class 7-8 trucks or equivalent equipment, ASE certifications a plus, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
• Familiar with work order labor time standards.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks or equivalent equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies and braking systems.
• Perform light engine repair and maintenance.
• Service heating and air conditioning systems.
• Safely provide road service when needed.
• Identify malfunctions with electronic tools.
• Complete required company training.
