Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems on diesel tractors as indicated on work orders or discovered during inspection.
• Communicate with drivers to address technical questions about their tractors.
• Operate and move tractors safely within the shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems on diesel tractors as indicated on work orders or discovered during inspection.
• Operate tractor and position it in the shop for repairs.
• Provide customer service by addressing drivers' technical questions.
• Maintain clean and organized work area; handle tools and parts.
• Procure parts from parts room to support repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
• Participate in training to coach less experienced mechanics.
