Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor in Diesel Technology at the Albuquerque campus. Responsibilities include assisting students with registration, advising, and graduation, and using technology to manage records.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Five of the last ten years of experience in the Diesel/Heavy Equipment repair or training field.
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred.
• Hybrid vehicle experience and light duty diesel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, teach, grade, and assess student learning in assigned courses.
• Create and model a quality learning environment for diverse learners.
• Maintain student records and document incompletes within college timelines.
• Use technology-based programs to access/input student records and department processes.
• Assist students with registration, advising, and graduation processes.
• Structure classes and curriculum to align with program and course outcomes.
• Prepare and distribute instructional materials and course syllabi.
• Convene classes as scheduled and respond to student inquiries.
• Offer office hours and assist students outside the classroom as needed.
• Attend in-service sessions and department meetings as required.
