Job summary

XPO in Dickinson, TX is seeking experienced diesel technicians to perform routine maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts. You will diagnose issues, perform HVAC repairs, and ensure compliance with DOT/EPA/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in tractor/trailer inspection and repair or tech school in heavy-duty maintenance
• EPA HVAC Refrigerant Certification due within 90 days of hire
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic welding and mechanical skills
• Basic hand tools for heavy-duty maintenance
• Basic computer skills
• Brake inspection qualified per FMCSA 396.25
• Vehicle inspection qualified per FMCSA 396.19
• Able to work days/evenings/nights/weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on class 6–8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment
• Inspect and access equipment to perform maintenance
• Repair or rebuild various system components
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and perform repairs
• Perform HVAC system repairs
• Follow DOT/EPA/OSHA rules and safety procedures
• Conduct safety inspections and document results
• Move trailers on the property using a hostler
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Interact with operations and shop management
