Job summary

Ryder in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is hiring a Diesel Tech Trainee to train into a Ryder Diesel Mechanic Technician. Earn while you learn with on-the-job training, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm shift, Monday–Friday, with weekends off, and weekly pay.

No experience required; CDL A preferred; benefits after 30 days; 401(k) match; PTO; tuition repayment; and a comprehensive training program are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year mechanical experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard and shop.
• Perform multi-point inspections and report issues.
• Fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles per procedures.
• Attend Technician Training Development Program requirements.
• Perform basic shop maintenance and record keeping.
