Ryder is hiring a Diesel Technician Trainee in Allentown, PA—providing a stable career path with weekly pay and excellent benefits while you train to become a Ryder Diesel Mechanic Technician.

Starting pay is $24.00 per hour on the second shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm, Mon-Fri; weekends off). You’ll receive on-the-job training, tool reimbursement up to $1,500, medical/dental/vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, 401(k) match, boot allowance, and travel discounts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year mechanical experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, service shop, or delivered to rental shop and fuel as needed.
• Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards.
• Complete Technician Training Development Program requirements and assessments.
