Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience repairing automotive gas/diesel engines.
• Two years of related training or experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance including oil changes, brakes, and tires.
• Identifies root causes and conducts repairs as needed.
• Interacts with drivers to understand and document concerns.
• Maintains documentation in the Shop Management System.
