Job summary

Ferman Automotive Group seeks an Automotive Diesel Technician in the Tampa, FL area to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles per manufacturer specs and dealership standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and complete repairs with focus on safety, quality, and guest satisfaction. ASE/Diesel certs are a plus, with training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Diesel-powered vehicle repair and maintenance experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills for diesel engines.
• Knowledge of diesel fuel systems, turbochargers, and emissions controls.
• Ability to operate diagnostic software and repair equipment safely.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and oil changes, fluid inspections, and lubrication.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and document findings.
• Communicate needs to service advisors and management while meeting quality standards.
• Document repair procedures, parts used, and labor performed on orders.
