Qualifications

• 1-2 years minimum work experience as a Medium and/or Heavy Diesel Technician.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools.
• Must have successfully completed appropriate diesel/automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service on vehicles including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Read repair orders for general and detailed repairs.
• Install various engine components and systems.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.

Skills

Mechanical aptitude

Knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair

Basic computer skills

Education

High school diploma / GED

Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair
