Job summary

Allegiance Trucks in Barrington, NH is seeking a Diesel Technician to service and diagnose heavy-duty trucks. You will troubleshoot electrical and diagnostic systems, read repair orders, and perform repairs on engines and components to keep our fleet running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and be motivated with mechanical aptitude.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a medium or heavy diesel technician is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services
• Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, and bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, and transmissions
• Examine guards and bolts on trucks and adjust as needed
• Lubricate moving parts and drive the repaired vehicle to verify repairs
• Advise Service staff if additional repair work is necessary
• Tag return warranty parts
• Maintain a neat, safe work environment and handle tools properly
• Follow safe work practices and seek assistance when necessary
• Other projects/initiatives as assigned
