Ryder System, Inc. in Roseville, Michigan is seeking a mid-level diesel technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles on the second shift. The position offers a $33.73 per hour wage, a structured benefits package, and opportunities for advancement.

The role includes diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and interaction with drivers to resolve issues. A CDL-A is preferred, with CDL required within six months of hire, plus a comprehensive benefits program.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work).
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred.
• CDL A, preferred; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Mansioni

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Identifies root causes of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT and other guidelines.
