Ryder System, Inc. in North Haven, CT is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. The role offers weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for bonuses and career growth.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and component repairs, while interfacing with drivers to resolve issues. A CDL and relevant certifications are preferred but not always required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• 2+ years of classroom training and work experience in repair preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and assists with other duties as needed.
